About Naomi

Naomi has been an award winning journalist and producer for 25 years. She joined BlackBay as the team’s Legal Affairs Strategist, a role created to utilise her combined legal and media strategy skills, helping clients and stakeholders navigate the court of public opinion. Not only does she assist the team in a paralegal capacity on complex litigation matters, but she also provides reputational, media and communications counsel. For the past few years, Naomi has combined her law studies with a full-time career. Naomi will finish her Bachelor of Laws degree at Macquarie University next year.

 

Before joining BlackBay Lawyers, Naomi was an award-winning journalist and producer. She spent more than 25 years at the top-level of the media, including 60 Minutes, Channel 7 news and current affairs, 2GB radio and print media. As a journalist, Naomi spent years observing legal proceedings and working with accused, victims, plaintiffs and defendants at the centre of court proceedings. It was there her interest in the law developed. Recently, she has also advised high-profile companies and individuals with media strategy, media training and crisis communications.

For decades, Naomi has worked with international celebrities and individuals at the centre global headlines. Naomi appreciates that litigants not only face legal challenges, but also find it hard to protect their reputation.
