Sreya Vadlamani

Sreya is a motivated and dynamic member of our team, supporting our practice with a strong academic foundation and a multidisciplinary professional background. Currently undertaking a Juris Doctor at the University of Sydney, she brings well‑developed legal research, drafting and advocacy skills, refined through extensive mooting and negotiation experience at both intervarsity and international levels, representing the University of Sydney across a range of legal disciplines.

Prior to joining BlackBay, Sreya worked in finance for over three years as an Investment Consultant at Aon in the UK, advising institutional investors on portfolios valued up to £1bn. In this role, she developed tailored, client centric investment strategies across diverse asset classes, ranging from Equities to Private Market and Hedge Funds. Her strong analytical capabilities, combined with her exposure to complex commercial decision‑making, enhance her ability to contribute thoughtfully to client‑focused legal strategies.

 

Sreya has also previously studied at University College London and the University of Leeds in the UK, with a First Class Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Her academic and professional experiences have inspired her pursuit of a legal career, and she brings a commercial and governance‑focused perspective to her work at BlackBay Lawyers
